KATY, TX – A suspected gunman who shot a man to death and wounded a female in Katy has reportedly killed himself during a SWAT standoff.

Around 9 p.m. Monday at a home in the 5000 block of Moss Garden Lane, Fort Bend County officials say deputies got reports about a shooting at the residence.

When deputies arrived, they found that one man had died and found another unknown man who appeared to be armed in the street.

The man disappeared into the backyard. However, after deputies received word that there were children inside the home who may be in danger, they made their way inside.

The children are safe and the female who was injured is expected to survive.

At this time, no word on what caused the shooting.
