HOUSTON, TX - The new Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, opened in theaters across the nation and Houston had its own celebration at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in the North part of town.

"We're going all out to make sure that our fans get an amazing experience," said Program Director, Robert Soucedo.

Men, women and children came all dressed up and brought their light-sabers ready to embrace this space-saga one more time.

"I've been a Star Wars fan since I was seven years old," expressed Alan Cerny.  "I've been waiting 32 years for this movie."

Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia and the new characters are reaching for the stars to try and captivate the imagination of a new generation of fans that might help this modern-day classic live long and prosper… Oh wait: where did we hear that line before?
