FLORENCE, ITALY - A headline like “Ashley Olsen found dead in Italy,” is bound to cause a panic, but before you start binge-watching every episode of “Full House,” know this: we’re not talking about one-half of the Olsen twins!

Another beautiful, blonde American woman, who just happens to have the same name as the famous fashionista, has been found dead in Florence. Police say the 35-year-old artist was found strangled in her apartment. Her boyfriend, a fellow artist, reportedly found her body on Saturday, after growing concerned that he had not heard from her in a few days.

Olsen had moved from Summer Haven, Florida to Florence a few years ago so she could be near her father, an architect who works for the Florence art school Bianca Capello.

“She had the best personality," said friend Staci Kelly, "She loved her dog Scout. She loved art and fashion. That was her big thing.”

So far, police have not named any suspects, but her death is being treated as a homicide.

“Whoever did this to her, I hope that they get what’s coming to them," said Kelly.
