HOUSTON, TX - The Chevron Houston Marathon is providing a family reunion for the Caldeira family. Three sisters, Pamela, Michelle and Nadine flew into Houston to take part in the race with cousins, Guy and Keisha.

"It's pretty cool to know that family and my support system is out there on the course with me," Michelle said.

While their father was an avid runner, it wasn't until the family made a promise to each other in 2011 that the sisters became runners themselves.

"We made a pact that we'd run the New York City Marathon in 2013, and we all did it," Nadine said. "Everyone that did the pact ended up doing the marathon and we just continued. I guess we got hooked."

At the end of the race, the sisters agree the real prize is the steak dinner that follows!
