HOUSTON, TX -  Baxter Montgomery Jr. had an interest in building robots, but it wasn't until coming to Westbury Christian School that he realized how much fun it could be.

"Being in robotics, I enjoy the feeling you get when you see a robot do exactly what you want it to do," Montgomery said.

Montgomery plays the role of captain for the school's Cataclysm Robotics Team. He helps design and build robots for competitions.

"The biggest thing that most people don't understand is the camaraderie. There's this bond that you get, like the people on a football field, the same thing goes in robotics."

As a senior, Montgomery is planning to continue studying computer science in the future and hopes to one day be a video game programmer.
