HOUSTON – Five suspects were arrested and several others are on the run after a smash and grab in northwest Houston.

It happened around 4 a.m. this morning at a convenience store off N. Houston Rosslyn Road and Woodsman Trail.

Police say nine or 10 suspects pulled up to a convenience store in three separate cars then backed a stolen pickup into the side of the store.

They managed to grab the ATM, loaded it into a minivan then took off.

A witness who was across the street called police and was able to provide them with a description of all three vehicles.

Once police spotted one of the cars, they were able to pull it over and arrest five suspects.

They also found the stolen pickup abandoned at a nearby apartment complex.

Police are still looking for the minivan and the other suspects.
