HOUSTON – Three suspects are in custody after a drug bust of the Gulf Freeway.

Authorities say just before 3 a.m. an officer patrolling the area spotted a red pickup truck and another car involved in a drug deal outside an adult store.

The officer pulled up behind both vehicles and was able to quickly arrest the male suspect in the pickup.

The two suspects in the other vehicle refused to get out and one of them eventually tried to flee on foot, but was also taken into custody.

The passenger then hopped into the driver’s seat and backed into the patrol car trying to get away.

He was eventually arrested.

No one was hurt, but officers did find cocaine.
