National wear red day for women’s heart disease awareness

HOUSTON - February 5 is a special day, and not because Valentines Day is near, but today is when the American Heart Association asks for everyone nationwide to wear red to raise awareness for heart disease in women.

Nearly 44 million American women are living with heart disease and one in three women are affected by heart disease in the United States.
