SW HOUSTON - Twenty-four families were forced to leave their homes this morning as their Southwest Houston apartment complex went up in flames.

Two alarms had to be pulled as crews battled the fire at the, "Sun Blossom Garden" apartment complex.

The flames have been put out and fortunately, no one was hurt.

A dozen units were damaged from smoke and water.

Fire officials believe the fire started on a balcony from a dropped cigarette bud that quickly spread to the complex's attic.
