HOUSTON - Go ahead and spread the word: there's a fight brewing. A fight to bring championship boxing to Houston.

Boxer Juan "Baby Bull" Diaz, a Houston native and former lightweight champion of the world is back in the fight game. He's making a comeback in a fight this weekend at the Aerial Theater.

The event is being promoted by another big name Houston boxer: George Foreman himself. Foreman says the sport is better now that Diaz is back, saying, "He didn't need boxing, boxing needed the Baby Bull." For his part, Diaz says he's proud to be a part of Houston's boxing heritage.

Diaz also says that his opponent, Fernando Garcia, is an accomplished boxer who should make for an exciting fighter. Diaz told NewsFix that he's tempered his well-known fighting style of throwing a lot of punches. He says he's now more selective.

It's a fight to put Houston back on the map of the boxing world. It should be a pushover.
