FLORENCE, KY - There's a bike-taking, heart-breaking criminal rolling around Florence, Kentucky, all on two wheels belonging to a Purple Heart war veteran.

Brandon Bailey earned a Purple Heart after he survived an attack in Afghanistan in 2009.

"I fought cowards all over the world and then I come here and someone comes and takes a possession of mine," said Bailey.

This isn't just any motorbike.  The custom Harley has sentimental value.  It's painted with a Purple Heart Medal theme, and the date written on it which Bailey survived an attack in Afghanistan in 2009.

"I was just kinda helpless, I can't run to start with because of the injuries that I sustained, but it, just, you're just helpless," Bailey recalled.

The explosion he was in left him with a broken back and hips and a crushed pelvis.  Bow Bailey is recovering from a different battle while cops attempt to put the brakes on this criminal.

As for the thief, he may have stolen the bike, but he couldn't steal Bailey's valor.
