Los Angeles, CA - Big movie news out of Hollywood!
Indiana Jones is returning to the silver screen with Harrison Ford back in his iconic role.
Walt Disney Studios announced "Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can't wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019."
Of course, Harrison Ford will be 77 when the next film comes out, so Dr. Jones may need a walker to get through the jungle this time around. As Indy himself once put it, "It's not the years, it's the mileage."
Steven Spielberg is calling the shots in the next installment, just as he directed all four films before. But no George Lucas this time.
The four Indy films raked in nearly $2 Billion at the global box office, so it doesn't take a genius archeologist to figure out why Disney is handing Ford the whip and fedora again.
What will Dr. Jones be searching for this time around? Apparently no script has been written yet, so a lot of details are still fuzzy.
No word yet on whether Shia LeBeouf will return to his role as Indy's son. Of course, no word on whatever happened to Shia LeBeouf period.
Oh, well. Fans will likely forgive the last Indy installment if this next one can just bounce back like Star Wars did.
Maybe with a little help from the Force it will!
