COLUMBUS, OH – Stopping Donald Trump is the goal of the three surviving Republican presidential candidates (Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and John Kasich) as voters in Florida, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, and Northern Marianas hit the voting booths.

Ohio governor John Kasich needs to carry his home state if he hopes to have a snowball’s chance of winning the nomination.

The new Quinnipiac University poll puts Kasich and Trump in a dead-heat in Ohio, and it has Trump tromping Rubio by 24 points in Marco’s home state of Florida.

The day before the primary, Hillary Clinton stopped in her home state of Illinois to tell her supporters to send a clear message that “love trumps hate.”

Bernie Sanders was in Illinois to let supporters know he’s feeling his own burn. "I think that in the states that are coming down the pike, we have great opportunities to win many of them, so we're feeling really good."
