St-Jérôme, QUEBEC -  Want to know the difference between a daring prison break in Canada and the ones you see out of Hollywood?

The real life escape was nooooo stunt. It was two inmates at a Quebec detention center trying to make a break for it.

One inmate was in the big house for arson, the other, attempted murder. They were both part of an elaborate escape plot in March of 2013.  And they had help.

Apparently two people hijacked the bird and forced the pilot to fly to the jail, where it hovered as the inmates grabbed the rope. They managed to hold on during take-off, but were recaptured with their accomplices a few hours later.

Canadian prosecutors released the video during one of the trials going on now.

Prisoners! They take flight north of the US border and they tunnel their way out south of the border (You remember El Chapo, don’t ya?)

Hey....maybe they should stop showing blockbuster movies behind bars!
