HOUSTON - Craig Hlavaty visited the Houston Texas Tattoo Extravaganza and chatted with Lyle Tuttle, who has been tattooing since 1949. Many people don’t know it but the first tattoo convention ever was held here in Houston in 1976, and Tuttle was the master of ceremonies. Craig also visited with Honest Charlie Potter of San Antonio, who had some interesting recollections of that first convention.
