ODESSA, TX  -  I believe it was Benjamin Franklin who said, “There`s two things certain in life: death and taxes.” And the death of a loved is always difficult.

"I'm telling you, she was like the perfect grandmother," says Robin Bennett.

The she, Robbin, is referring to is 88-year-old Lois Hicks, who passed away recently in Odessa. As you might expect, it was an emotional time for her family as she lay peacefully in her casket and they made final arrangements for her funeral.  But things took a bizarre twist....

Surveillance video in the funeral home shows a woman beside the coffin who is most definitely not a grieving family member. Nope, she’s a thief!

In broad daylight, this woman stole the wedding ring right off Lois`s finger and it was all caught on camera!

Who does that?!  Stealing from the dead? Come on!

Friends and family as far away as Maine are using social media to attempt to capture this criminal with the ice-cold heart.

After all, just because you can`t take it with you doesn`t mean someone else should take it from you!!!
