HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Texans are back to work this week as off-season programs got underway.  The Texans had originally been scheduled to start Monday, but pushed it until Tuesday due to recent flooding in the Houston area.

Wednesday, some of the Texans players met with the media, including new quarterback Brock Osweiler.  One of the Texans' marquee free agent signings has already been working with his receivers, hosting them for a training session a couple of weeks ago in Arizona.

"We got some great work in as far as throwing routes," Osweiler said. "I didn't take it easy on them that week.  I was running them into the ground and making them earn their dinner each night."

Pro Bowl wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins had high praise for the new quarterback.

"I was very impressed with his leadership skills - him getting everybody out there and demanding the best from us," Hopkins said.

J.J. Watt also spoke at the press conference and said he's very close to feeling completely recovered from the groin surgery he had in the off-season.
