16 units destroyed in NW Houston apartment complex fire

NW HOUSTON -- Over a dozen people are left with nothing this morning after a massive fire burnt through their Northwest Houston apartment complex.

The flames broke out just before 9om at the Providence at Champions off of FM 1960.

Over 100 firefighters worked to put out the blaze. Fire officials tell us there were no fire hydrants at the complex.

16 units were destroyed and two people suffered minor injuries.

Arson is investigating the cause.
