Fort Wayne, IN - A war of words is heating up between Republicans, and we do mean "heating up.*

Yeah, you won't believe what former House Speaker John Boehner called Senator Ted Cruz.

"Lucifer in the flesh!" Boehner pronounced Cruz.

Wo! Boehner made the comment to a bunch of college students at Stanford University.

So what did Cruz think about that?

"John Boehner had some interesting comments last night," Cruz declared.

Yeah, you can say that again!

"When John Boehner calls me 'Lucifer,' he's not directing that at me," the senator insisted.  "He's directing that at you."

Say what?! Maybe Cruz does have a confession to make.

Well, the Texas Senator just thinks Boehner is upset because he's trying to stop his "golf buddy" Donald Trump in his tracks.

But talk about a low-blow!

Oh, Boehner didn't stop there. He also said of Cruz, "I have never worked with a more miserable son of a b**** in my life."

"He allowed his inner-Trump to come out," Cruz retorted.

So what does the new Cruz running mate think of all this?

"There's a lot at stake," Carly Fiorina said. "I think the soul of our party is at stake."

Well, Lucifer is interested in souls.

And of course, Cruz isn't exactly an "angel" himself.

According to Trump, "In the Senate he's known as a liar," 'The Donald' responded. "So we came up with Llyin' Ted....L-Y-I-N boom hyphen."

Hmm, Lucifer is known as the 'Father of all Lies,' so some think Trump may be on to something.

Of course, the Devil's in the details!
