28 sent to hospital after bus crash in Houston

HOUSTON – A crash in downtown Houston involving a pick-up truck and a METRO bus have sent 28 people to the hospital. The accident happened close to 1:30 p.m. this afternoon at 2002 Runnels.

The Houston Fire Department was on scene and had to extricate one of the drivers.

The scene is still active as authorities try to figure out what led to the accident. According to the HFD, 32 people were involved in the accident with 28 of those needing medical attention at a nearby hospital. One of those people was suffering from “significant injuries.”
