Father charged after his child falls out of a moving car

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX —A father was charged after his child fell out a moving car.

Killian Mathew, was charged with injury to a child and endangering a child. He also has a prior conviction for DWI, according to documents.

Witnesses told constables they saw a child falling out of a moving car on Aldine Westfield on Tuesday. They said a man got out of the car, picked up the child and put him back in the front seat. The man then drove off with the door still open.

Witnesses gave a description of the vehicle and Mathew was located. Investigators said he had two children in the car; one in the front seat and one in the back seat. The child in the back seat was unharmed.

The injured child was taken to Memorial Hermann in the Woodlands, then later transferred to Texas Children’s Hospital.

Investigators said Mathew was the biological father of both children. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and no bond amount has been set.
