Hendersonville, NC - "911, what is your emergency?" an operator asks a caller.

"Help me!" the caller pleads.

"What's your address?"

"She's beating me up!"

"What's your address?"

"Please help me!!"

That's the gripping 911 call from actress Kelly McGillis when she says she was attacked-- punched and scratched-- in her own home by an apparent stalker!

The suspect has been identified as 38-year-old Laurence Marie Dorn of Illinois who is now behind bars facing multiple charges including burglary after McGillis said the woman was waiting inside her home.

McGillis is most famous for her role opposite Tom Cruise in the 80s blockbuster hit "Top Gun."

The 58-year-old actress also co-starred alongside Harrison Ford in "Witness."

Now, McGillis is dealing with real life drama she never imagined would happen to her.

"What have I done to deserve this?" the actress pondered in an interview. "What have I done?"

After the incident, the actress posted on Facebook: "All I have ever wanted is to feel safe...safe in my own home. I can't think. I can't eat. And I am terrified to be alone."

"The other thing that I feel really, really angry and sad about is the fact that she had a six-year-old girl with her," McGillis  shared. "...Who had to be a part of all of that. It's horrible. I can't even wrap my mind around that."

McGillis says she's packing heat now to try to feel safe again.
