Man attacked with machete in northwest Houston

HOUSTON  — A man is believed to have been attacked by another man who was wielding a machete in northwest Houston.

This all happened around 2 a.m.  on West Gulf Bank. Police say a man had just left his girlfriend’s house when he was attacked.

He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

His attacker remains on the run. The motive for the attack has not been released.
