CHICAGO — August 2016 is going down as the most violent month in Chicago in the past 20 years.

According to Chicago Tribune data, there has been over 80 homicides this month. Just this weekend, 67 people were shot and 11 of them died.

At the center of the chaos is NBA star Dwayne Wade's cousin, Nikyea Aldridge.  Aldridge, a mother of four children, was fatally shot while pushing her newborn baby's stroller in the south side of Chicago. A pair of brothers, Darwin and Derren Sorell, are charged with first degree murder for Aldridge's death.

Police said the siblings are gang members and convicted felons, who were out on parole when they accidentally shot Wade's relative.

The shots were meant for a man who was driving a car and dropping some women off in the area.

According to Brendan Deenihan, Commander of Area Central Detectives, their shots missed the man and hit Aldridge in the head and shoulder.

As Wade said in a series of frustrated tweets; enough is enough.
