2 killed, security guard injured during stabbing at northwest Houston apartments

HOUSTON — Two men were killed and a security guard was injured during a knife fight at an apartment complex in northwest Houston Friday night.

According to Houston police,  a security guard was doing his nightly routine around 10:30 p.m. at the Cancun Apartment Homes on Long Point when he noticed four to five men who didn’t live in the complex.

He approached them, asking them to leave, but the men refused.

An altercation occurred and the men began fighting with the security guard.

During the brawl, several people were stabbed, including the guard.

Police said the guard suffered multiple cuts and bruises and drove himself to the hospital. He is expected to survive.

Two of the men he was fighting with died, and the others fled the scene.

No charges have been filed at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
