CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Poker is a game of high stakes, but no one at one Wyoming apartment thought the stakes would ever get this high.
Police said Larry Rosenberg, 77, shot three people Wednesday morning at the Heritage Court Apartments over a poker game, according to investigators. One victim was killed, police said.
Residents said Rosenberg was angry about the poker games that some other residents were holding several times. One woman said he gave her a letter full of complaints about gambling, but she didn't read it until after the shooting.
Rosenberg tried to run off but officers caught up with him in a nearby neighborhood. As they were closing in on Rosenberg, he turned the gun on himself and fatally shot himself.
