Patriots destroy Houston for Texans first loss

FOXBOROUGH – The Houston Texans were facing a third string quarterback on a short week so hopes were high for the team to improve to 3-0 on the season, but they ran into the New England Patriots and found out how good Patriots head coach Bill Belichick can prepare a team as the Patriots shut out the Texans 27-0.

The Texans special teams were anything but as they coughed up two fumbles that led to New England touchdowns.

Rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett ran for his first career touchdown and Legarette Blount added two more scores on the ground.

The Texans return to NRG Stadium to host the Tennessee Titans in a week four matchup.
