GALVESTON, Texas — Ahh, the beach! Who doesn't love a little fun in the sun?

Everything in Texas is big, including our coastline.

Adopt A Beach, an organization devoted to keeping Texas beaches clean, held a state-wide trash clean up that stretched from Sabine Pass all the way to South Padre!

In the past thirty years, the organization has collected more than ninety-two hundred tons of trash!

To encourage beach goers to toss their trash in a bin. Adopt-a-beach had the traditional blue beach bins painted with different marine life themes.

Not only is leaving your trash on the beach nasty. It kills local marine life.

So next time you're leaving the sand, toss your trash in the can.

Our beaches give us so much; it's only right we give something back.
