2 young brothers playing soccer caught in crossfire of shooting in Humble; 9 teens detained

HUMBLE, Texas– Two young brothers were among four juveniles who were shot during an altercation in Humble Monday night.

According to Harris County Sheriff’s deputies, more than a dozen teens were involved in an alteration in the 21000 block of Grand Linden Ct. near Kennemer Drive when someone began shooting.

The brothers, ages 6 and 11, were outside playing soccer when they were caught in the crossfire and struck in the legs by stray bullets.

A 15-year-old was shot in the foot, and a 16-year-old was grazed in the back.

Nine teens were detained for questioning.  Deputies are investigating to determine if the shooting was gang-related.
