Race for a cure
There will be a sea of pink running through the streets of downtown Houston tomorrow.

It’s the 26th annual Race for the Cure”. It starts at 8 am at the Sam Houston park. 100 percent of the proceeds go into breast cancer research. It’s a celebration of survivor and to honor the people who lost their battle with breast cancer.

Tickets range from $15 to $45.

Rockets vs. Shanghai
Basketball season’s almost here. The Houston Rockets start their preseason this Sunday with a novelty game against the Shanghi Sharks at the Toyota center. Shanghi is the is the Chinese club that developed Yao Ming and Ming is the current president of the team. Also it will be a great time for Rockets fans to get a look at their new team minus Dwight Howard.

Fall biannual Art Opening
Tomorrow, the fall biannual art opening is back at Silver Street Studios in the Houston Heights area. Come check out art pieces from over 150 local artists from our area. The opening is from 5 to 10 pm.

Best part, it’s free.

Fort Bend County Fair
The 80 annual Fort Bend County Fair and rodeo is in it’s final weekend, but there is still plenty to do. The barbecue championship cook-off, rodeo, carnival and live music performance from Tanya Tucker.

Tickets are $5 for kids and $12 for adults.
