ANAPOLIS, Md. – The Houston Cougars suffered a huge loss on Saturday to the Navy Midshipmen. All the talk of playing for a national championship went up in smoke as the Coogs lost 46-40 .

The loss hurts even more when you realize that it is their first conference loss as well. The 6th ranked team in the country just could never stop the Midshipmen.

Quarterback Greg Ward, Jr. threw for 361 yards and three touchdowns and added another 94 yards on the ground and another score.

Houston drops to 5-1 on the season while Navy improves to 4-1. The Cougars next contest will be at TDECU Stadium on October 15 when they host Tulsa.
