CLAY COUNTY, Fla. - Here's a wild hood ornament!

Hurricane Matthew not only did plenty of damage to the Sunshine State, the storm also ruffled some feathers-- causing this bald eagle to get stuck in a car grille near Jacksonville.

An oncoming driver noticed the bird stuck in the difficult position at an intersection and then chased down the car to let the driver know there was an eagle caught in the front grille.

The driver called 911 to help get the bird out, and after the Clay County Sheriff's Office arrived on the scene, they were able to pry the bird loose.

Rescuers named the eagle "Matthew" in honor of the storm and turned the bird over to a wildlife sanctuary.

After he gets a clean 'bill' of health, they hope to give the eagle Freedom and Liberty once again!
