HPD: Woman in stolen vehicle leads police on chase, infant injured in crash

HOUSTON – Three people were injured, including an infant, after a police chase ended in a crash late Thursday night.

According the Houston Police Department, officers were responding to a disturbance call around 12:20 a.m. when they were flagged down by a person off Scott Street.

When police drove down the street, they spotted an SUV speeding off from a parking lot.

The truck drove a few blocks down Scott Street, lost control, struck a sign and rolled over on its side.

There was an adult female driver, a teenage girl in the passenger seat and an infant in a car seat in the back seat.

The 19-year-old driver, a 15-year-old passenger, and an 11-month-old infant were all transported Memorial Hermann, in stable condition with minor cuts and bruises.

The SUV was reported stolen, according to HPD.

The woman has been charged with a felony evading vehicle, and endangering a child.
