Glitch: Microsoft beats Apple, Pornhub offer to buy Vine and Romero talks zombies

Twitter is giving up on Vine, the 6 second video sharing app they paid $30 million for in 2012.

Now there’s a prospective buyer out there – hard up – to push its way in to a new social media platform.

Good ol’ PornHub has offered to buy Vine saying it would “restore Vine to its not safe for work glory,” and that clips “of porn in six seconds is more than enough time for most people to enjoy themselves.”

Also…

“Night of the Living Dead” director George Romero — “the Godfather of Zombies” — was on a new soapbox in an interview with IndieWire.

He says that because of movies like “World War Z” and shows like “The Walking Dead,” he can’t get funding for his next zombie flick.

Romero complains that nowadays you can’t make a zombie movie with any sort of substance and zombie films have to be just zombies wreaking havoc, and that’s not what he’s about.

We’re not going to spoil anything, but anyone still in mourning from last week’s “The Walking Dead” might argue that it was definitely substance that had them reaching for tissues during this season’s premier.

And…

Industry analysts are saying Microsoft beat Apple in this week’s dueling release events.

Sure, Apple’s Touchbar on Apple’s new MacBook Pro looks neat, but after finally mastering typing without looking at the keyboard, they want me to look back down at the keyboard?!

That and Apple is taking away the standard USB port.

They’re moving to USB-C, which you can add dongles to adapt to usb, and even use to power and charge the computer,  but they left the headphone jack in this time! Good enough for the MacBook Pro, but not worth leaving on the iPhone 7!?

Mircrosoft released their new 28 inch touchscreen desktop, the Surface Studio and this neat looking Surface Dial. Sure it looks like a hockey puck, but you can use it on and off the screen to interact.

But hey, one’s a laptop and the other’s a desktop. When we finally get to see the new iMac maybe then we’ll finally get to compare apples to apples or Apples to Window. You get it?
