19-year-old Texas woman vanishes after going on blind date with stranger she met online

SPLENDORA, Tex. - Montgomery County authorities say a 19-year-old has vanished after going on a blind date. Officials say no one has heard from Donna Kay Cloud since she left on a date Wednesday night.

"I found out that she didn't even know the guy after she'd already left," Darrell Beaty, Cloud's father, said. "And I made the comment to her through her messaging that that's not a very smart thing to do."

"She said, 'I'm going to get Redbox movies, go back to his house," Cloud's stepmother Linda Hornback recalled. "She said, 'I will probably be back in the morning-- if you don't hear from me by 2am -- call the cops.'"

"We don't know what he was driving, who he was....we never saw a vehicle, never saw a face, never really heard a name," Beaty revealed.

Law enforcement deputies believe Cloud may have met the man online, but so far his identity is unknown.

Some of her friends claim the man was from Liberty, Texas-- and the couple left in his car, but they don't know what type.

Friends and family have been flooding Facebook with flyers and posts pleading for any information or help in finding the missing woman.

"Something's better than nothing at this point," Hornback said.

Investigators think the date may have taken place at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant near Kingwood.

Authorities say they are working multiple leads and trying to leave no stone unturned in locating the Splendora woman.

"I don't know what I feel. You know, I feel helpless," Cloud's father said. "I know I want to break down and cry, but I don't know what I feel. Just...I want my daughter home."
