HOUSTON — It's almost every young girl's fantasy to become a star at least once in their life. Police said a 15-year-old girl thought she had finally received her break — only to end up getting tricked and raped.

Francisco Anavisca and Pedro Lopez — both 24 years old — are charged the aggravated sexual assault of a child. Both men are documented gang members, investigators said.

The men posed as music producers online and convinced the teen they were going to make her famous, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said. After chatting on the apps MeetMe.com and Kik, the teen decided to meet up with the deceiving duo.

"[The girl] left her own hometown and met with the two suspects, who then took her to a local trailer in northeast Harris County, then sexually assaulted her multiple times," HCSO Sheriff Ron Hickman said.

Luckily, the teen made it out safe and called a friend, who immediately reached out to police.

"This underscores the need for parent to have that dialogue with their children about contact on the internet," Hickman said.
