Two friends collide after ‘fooling around’ in SE Houston apartment complex

HOUSTON – One driver is in critical condition after a head-on collision with a friend late Saturday night.

According to the Houston Police Department, the accident happened at Algonquin Drive and Scarsdale Boulevard around 10:00 p.m.

Police said the two friends drove into the apartment complex, and began speeding through the complex while fooling around.

When the first car slowed down to turn in another part of the parking lot, the second car struck the first car.

The second lost control and slammed into the corner edge of the apartment building on the driver’s side.

HPD said a male driver was transported to hospital in critical condition with a head injury.

Officials say his survival doesn’t look good. The other driver was not hurt.
