HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Harris County Sheriff’s Office Child Abuse Unit investigators have arrested and charged a 38-year-old man for the aggravated sexual assault of a juvenile girl in the Channelview area.

Investigators said that Cecil De Wayne Mc Afee forced a 16-year-old girl into his vehicle after seeing her walking down a sidewalk in a neighborhood around 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 15.

Mc Afee, who investigators say was posing as a police officer, lured the girl into his vehicle after telling her she was in violation of the county curfew ordinance. Mc Afee never displayed any police credentials to the victim, but she believed him.

Investigators released surveillance video and photos of the suspect’s vehicle to the public.

After receiving several tips, investigators were able to positively identify Mc Afee, and the victim confirmed he was the man who assaulted her.

Mc Afee is charged with impersonating a peace officer and aggravated sexual assault of a child. He is being held on an $120,000 bond.
