MISSOURI CITY, TX – A train struck the trailer of a FedEx truck early Saturday morning in Missouri City, sending flying packages and debris all over the road.

According to authorities, a FedEx 18-wheeler was heading south on Cravens Road and was about to turn on S. Main (Highway 90) as it pulled up to a stop sign after going over the railroad tracks.

Police said the truck driver did not realize the trailer was still over the tracks, and did not know the train was coming when it slammed into the back end of the second trailer.

The impact sent packages flying all over the road, and even struck a car nearby.

Police said a woman in a black car was sitting next to the 18-wheeler, and was taken to the hospital with very minor injuries.

No one else was hurt in the accident.
