PEARLAND, Texas — Pressure? What pressure? Jacob Keller knew the Pearland offense did its job, and all he had to do was put the icing on the cake.
"They used the clock, running down the field to get me in the position where I could just hit a nice easy field goal," Keller said.
It was a field goal with time expiring to lift Pearland over Clear Springs last week. This Class Act prepares mentally, so he can handle an emotional moment like that.
"When I get ready to kick, I just feel excited and ready to show my team what I can do and show everybody what's possible," Keller says.
This season, Keller has taken part in a "Kick It" campaign, raising money to fight pediatric cancer.
"Recently, one of my soccer coach's daughters was diagnosed and passed away from cancer, right before the season started," Keller said. "That motivated me to do something to help out."
For every point Keller scores, a donation is made to MoJo's Miracle foundation.
As Pearland enters the playoffs, it's clear Jacob Keller is already kicking for a winning cause.
