Deputies: Harris County man killed in hit-and-run, driver still at large

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Investigators are still searching for the driver in a deadly hit-and-run on the north side of town, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said. Steven Jones full image

Steven Jones, early 20s, was walking in an eastbound lane of the 28700 block of FM 2920  when he was struck by a vehicle Nov. 13, investigators said.

The victim died at the scene, officers said.

Deputies said the vehicle involved may have been a 2013-2016 Cadillac Escalade. It could have front end damage, officers said.

Anyone with information in this hit-and-run is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477). The agency is offering a reward of up to 5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
