Reward offered in cold case murder of Texas teen whose body was found in burned vehicle

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — Authorities are revisiting the 1992 cold case murder of a teen whose body was found in the trunk of her car one day after she attended a birthday party.

Natasha Atchley was 19 years old when she attended a party in Shepherd, Texas on May 2, 1992.

The day after the party, her car was found burned on a rural dirt road, approximately one mile from the party location.

Natasha’s body was found in the trunk of the vehicle.

The teen had previously attended high school in Livingston, but moved away prior to graduation, and was visiting friends from the Livingston area at the time of her murder.
