LA MARQUE, Texas — Ryan Rivera didn't realize how quickly weather could destroy so much.

"Saturday came, it was raining, next thing you know it was 9 o'clock, the back room had one foot of water," Rivera said.

This weekend, rainfall in amounts unseen in the Texas City-La Marque area in 21 years, caused flooding in Rivera's neighborhood.

Just down the street, Shae Bagot is having to do a total remodel of her house.

"We're having to rip out everything, all the flooring," Bagot said. "We're gonna have to cut up a foot, maybe more on the walls."

To help Bagot's relief effort, a GoFundMe page has been started.

As people get back on their feet, the good news is the Houston area is expected to have sunny skies on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Thursday and Friday, it will get cold, with lows in the thirties.
