HPD: Man accused of burglarizing car, stealing victim’s credit cards

HOUSTON — Officers are searching for a man accused of committing credit card abuse, the Houston Police Department said.

Investigators said the victim’s vehicle was burglarized Sept. 10 and several credit cards were stolen. The cards were later used for numerous unauthorized purchases at multiple stores across the city.

Surveillance footage caught a glimpse of the man, who police said is responsible for the crime.

He is described as a heavyset man in his 30s with a goatee and beard. The man in the video is seen wearing a red baseball cap with white lettering and a black t-shirt, investigators said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477). The agency is offering a reward of up $5,000 for information leading to an arrest or charge.
