ATM stolen in SE Houston smash-and-grab, police say

HOUSTON — The Houston Police Department is investigating after a smash-and-grab in the Gulf Gate area.

The group backed a cargo van into a convenience store in the 1300 block of Produce Row, and then jumped out the vehicle to steal the store’s ATM.

Police said the van and an empty ATM were found about 30 minutes later in northeast Houston.
