    CYPRESS, Texas— Two men are in custody after authorities found 200 marijuana plants being grown and sold in a neighboring home. According to deputies from Precinct 5 Constable Ted Heap’s office, no one lived in the home but the constant flow of traffic alerted neighbors.   • Reduced water pressure prompts boil water notice in Anahuac

    ANAHUAC, Texas—The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued a boil water notice due to reduced water pressure in the city of Anahuac. The city is asking that all water for drinking, cooking, and making ice be boiled and cooled before using to ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes. When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify the community that the water is safe for consumption.

    PEARLAND— A boil water notice has been lifted after a major equipment failure involving the Kirby Water Production facility Wednesday. Not all the City of Pearland is effected, just the section west of 288.   • CenterPoint Energy crew of 72 flies to Puerto Rico to support power restoration efforts

    HOUSTON—CenterPoint Energy’s team will join the more than 1,500 additional restoration crew members from other utilities traveling to the island to support the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) in the next phase of its restoration process. A barge carrying CenterPoint Energy trucks and equipment is scheduled to arrive in the Port of Ponce, Puerto Rico on Saturday.     HOUSTON — Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division need the public’s assistance identifying a suspect responsible for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon at a northeast Houston business.   • HFD responds to electrical fire at apartment building in north Houston

    HOUSTON — The Houston Fire Department responded to an apartment building Thursday night in Asbury Park.  Firefighters arrived around 11:15 p.m. at Asbury Park in the 6200 block of W. Tidwell Rd. and found fire and smoke coming from a two story apartment. The department quickly contained the fire and evacuated all of the residents.
