  • Houston Health Department confirms 2 flu-related deaths

    HOUSTON — The Houston Health Department has confirmed two women in their 60s died at the end of last year from the flu. City health officials said one woman died at the end of November and the other one died in December. Houston ISD said nurses have reported 421 cases of students with flu-like illness.     HOUSTON — Three people are dead after a former co-worker shot and killed two employees and himself at an auto repair shop in southwest Houston, the Houston Police Department said.     HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has released  the mugshots of four out of five detention officers charged after an inmate was brutally beaten. On Friday, deputies also announced the recent firing of two of the indicted officers.
