    Police: Man found fatally shot outside Pearland home

    PEARLAND, Texas — A man was found shot to death in front of his home in Pearland, authorities said. The Pearland Police Department responded to frantic 911 calls Sunday night. When officers arrived to the home on Windy Shores Drive near Shadow Creek Parkway, they found the victim on the house’s porch. At this time, police have not released any other information.

    Houston area left waterlogged after severe storms

    HOUSTON — Severe storms wreaked havoc on the roads and highways in Houston during Wednesday morning’s rush hour commute. There were at least 60 rescues from the floodwaters, according to Francisco Sanchez, a spokesperson for the Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.     HARRIS COUNTY — A Harris County Sheriff’s deputy is accused of committing an unthinkable act involving an animal. According to court documents, Andrew C.
