EAST PROVIDENCE, RI – A very lucky little dog from Taunton, Massachusetts, survived getting hit by a car and traveling across state line to Rhode Island, stuck under the grill of the still moving automobile.
East Providence Animal Control can’t believe it. Not only did the female poodle mix survive the impact of the vehicle, but when the driver didn’t notice the accident, they continued driving a total of 11 miles at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. All along, the little hound hung on to the hood.
The driver was finally flagged down and alerted about the pup, which beside a slight concussion and minor bladder rupture is fine. The fluffy white pooch had a collar and microchip, but the owners have still not been found.
