WASHINGTON, D.C. – That presidential debate really shook-up the race!  President Barack Obama went into Denver with a commanding lead.  But he’s not the star anymore.

After Mitt Romney mentioned cuts to public television, Big Bird has fluttered into the spotlight.  The Obama camp even made an ad featuring the Sesame Street character (Sesame Street has asked them to pull it).

But the bigger post-debate headline is that Romney may have squeaked into the lead.  A new Pew poll shows him on top of President Obama 49 to 45%. Of course at the same time, a Gallup poll shows Obama up by about the same. So who knows?

Maybe in round two Obama will be over his performance anxiety.

But we’re just hoping our childhood heroes don’t get tainted anymore.
